Gabor Vasarhelyi, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air said: “We are thrilled to launch today another exciting route from our Riga base to Tel Aviv. Stimulating air travel between Latvia and Israel, we see tourism and hospitality sectors benefiting from our newest service as well as strengthening business relations between the two countries. Our friendly Latvian crew looks forward to welcoming you on board a WIZZ flight with a smile!”

On the occasion of the new long awaited route, a special cake was made. It was decorated with a basketball ball, symbolising the famous Tel Aviv basketball team - the winner of Euroleague, the highest-level tournament in Europe, and the first European club to win an NBA team.
