During the winter season, 18 airlines will operate flights to 76 destinations; among them is Laudamotion Austrian low-cost airport, which will start its service from Riga Airport to the Austrian capital of Vienna and will offer four flights weekly.


Estonian Air Resumes Flights from Riga to Tallinn

On 25 March 2012 the carrier Estonian Air resumed flights from Tallinn to Riga and back that would take place 17 times a week. Estonian Air will fly on this route three times a day on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and once a day – on Saturdays and Sundays.

In honour of this event the first passengers of Estonian Air were greeted with spring flowers and water christening. Among the meeters and greeters there was Arnis Luhse, Chairman of the Board of Riga International Airport, Tero Taskila, CEO of Estonian Air, and Mati Vaarmann, Estonian Ambassador in Latvia.

The ticket in one direction from Riga to Tallinn will cost from EUR 49.9 (LVL 35.07) and from Tallinn to Riga – from EUR 39.9 (LVL28,04), if it is bought on the airline’s website www.estonian-air.com. The price includes all taxes and charges, a baggage fee, the cost of refreshments and soft drinks for longer flights; soft drinks are available on the flights that last less than one hour.

Estonian Air is the biggest operator at Tallinn Airport. It sees its mission in strengthening Estonia's links with the rest of the world and improvement of the airport’s competitiveness. Estonian Air operates routes to 25 destinations in the CIS, Scandinavia and Europe. The airline recently announced opening of new destinations this spring. They are: Helsinki, Riga, Jyväskylä, Hannover, Vienna, Venice, Kokkola/Pietarsaari, Joensuu, Kajaani and Tbilisi.
