Wizz Air expands its Route Network from Riga Adding Four New Destinations

• On 19 June, Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, opened flights from Riga International Airport to Paris (Beauvais). The flights are scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and will be operated on Airbus 320 aircraft. In honour of the new route, the passengers were treated to a special cake decorated with the symbol of Paris – the Eiffel Tower – made of chocolate. The passengers of the flight Riga – Paris received a chocolate figure of the Eiffel Tower and a Wizz Air baggage pendant whereas the passengers of the first flight Paris - Riga were presented with Latvia’s strawberries in chocolate.

• On 20 June, the airline Wizz Air opened flights from Riga International Airport to Doncaster/Sheffield. The flights are scheduled for Mondays and Fridays and will be operated on Airbus 320 aircraft. In honour of the new route, the passengers were treated to a special cake decorated with a figure of tractor, due to the fact that Doncaster has an agricultural machinery plant, and the tractors Case built in this plant are used at Riga International Airport too.

• On 22 June, Wizz Air opened flights from Riga to Barcelona. The flights are scheduled for Wednesdays and Sundays and will be operated on Airbus 320 aircraft. In honour of the new route, the passengers were treated to a special cake decorated in the colours of the Football Club Barcelona and number 7 meaning that Barcelona is Wizz Air’s seventh destination from Riga Airport.

• From 31 August, Wizz Air will fly to Dortmund in Germany. The flights will take place on Wednesdays and Sundays on Airbus 320 aircraft.
