In the summer season more new flights

In the summer season, the Latvian national carrier airBaltic has opened flights to five new destinations: Aalborg (Denmark), Dubrovnik (Croatia), Thessaloniki and Rhodes (Greece), and Pisa (Italy):

• Since 18 April, airBaltic has been flying from Riga to Aalborg (Denmark) once a week, on Saturdays, and from Aalborg to Riga – on Sundays. The airline preforms flights on a Boeing 737-300 aircraft and their duration is one hour and forty minutes.
• Since 26 May, airBaltic has been carrying passengers from Riga to Dubrovnik (Croatia) once a week on a Boeing 737-300 aircraft. The flight lasts for approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes.
• On 5 June, airBaltic commenced flights from Riga to Thessaloniki (Greece). The airline performs flights on the new route twice a week – on Fridays and Saturdays – on a Boeing 737-300 aircraft. The approximate duration of the flight is 2 hours and 55 minutes.
• Since 12 June, airBaltic has been operating flights from Riga to the island of Rhodes in Greece. Flights take place once a week – on Fridays – on a Boeing 737-300 aircraft. The flight lasts about 3 hours and 35 minutes.
• Since 13 June, airBaltic has been performing direct flights from Riga to Pisa (Italy), putting on its route map another popular summer destination. airBaltic flies from Riga to Pisa once a week on a Boeing 737 aircraft. The duration of the flight is 2 hours and 50 minutes.

At the same time, the largest budget carrier in Central and Eastern Europe Wizz Air in the summer season offers three new destinations from Riga:

• Since 22 April, Wizz Air has been performing flights from Riga International Airport to Stavanger (Norway). The flights on the route Riga-Stavanger-Riga take place twice a week – on Wednesdays and Sundays -   on an Airbus A320 aircraft. Direct flights to Stavanger are also offered by the Latvian national carrier airBaltic.
• On 24 April, Wizz Air opened flights from Riga to Liverpool (U.K.). The flights on the route Riga-Liverpool-Riga are performed twice a week – on Mondays and Fridays – on an Airbus A320 aircraft.
• Since 24 April, Wizz Air has been carrying passengers from Riga to Lübeck (Germany). Flights on the route Riga– Lübeck –Riga take place twice a week. Initially they were performed on Mondays and Fridays, but since 3 June – rescheduled to Wednesdays and Sundays. The airline operates flights on an Airbus A320 aircraft.
