Principles of Ethics for partners

We promote fair and responsible business practices and cooperation in the search for sustainable solutions. We expect the highest standards of operation and performance throughout the Airport’s supply chain.

We expect Airport suppliers to comply with the laws and regulations governing the industry, and with the principles and obligations contained therein, with a high level of responsibility when employing both European Union citizens and third-country nationals.

We treat our suppliers fairly and provide everyone with truthful and verified information. We and our employees:

• support fair commercial practices;
• comply with fair competition rules;
• do not engage in anti-competitive, corrupt or discriminatory practices.

Riga Airport and every one of its employees shall not permit any fraudulent or corrupt conduct related to:

• Acquisition of property of another, or of rights to such property, by the use, in bad faith, of trust, or by deceit;
• Bribery of domestic as well as foreign officials (requesting, extorting or accepting material values, material or other benefits);
• Any other acts by a staff member aimed at using or exceeding his/her authority to obtain an undue advantage for himself/herself or others.

Our employees make decisions solely in the interests of the employer. Employees shall not engage in any private activities, and shall refrain from such side jobs or combined jobs which:

• interfere with the responsible and professional performance of his/her duties;
• raise concerns about potential or actual conflicts of interest.

We provide a safe working environment by complying with labour protection requirements and taking responsibility for workplace safety.

Our employees are responsible for their actions and shall make clear and concrete decisions, weighing the potential risks. Information received by employees in the course of professional activity:

• will be kept confidential and not disclosed to others (except in cases provided for in laws and regulations);
• will not be used for personal interests.

Our employees guarantee the precision and quality of work and its compliance with applicable requirements. Employees shall perform their duties honestly, carefully, with a sense of responsibility and with sensitivity, as well as avoid actions which interfere with the overall work process.
