Flights to Gothenburg Resumed from Riga International Airport

The Latvian national carrier airBaltic on 14 April resumed operations from Riga International Airport to Sweden’s second largest city Gothenburg.

The flight opening ceremony held at Riga Airport’s VIP Centre was attended by H.E. Henrik Landerholm,Ambassador of Sweden to Latvia. A special cake was baked in honour of the first flight decorated with a sailing ship symbolising Gothenburg as the largest port city of Sweden. Flights from Riga to Gothenburg will be performed four times a week with the duration of approximately one hour and forty minutes. Riga International Airport is the leading air traffic hub in the Baltic countries. In the summer season 83 direct destinations are available from Riga Airport operated by the following carriers: airBaltic, Ryanair, Wizz Air, Aeroflot, Lufthansa, Norwegian, Finnair, Uzbekistan Airways, LOT, UTair, Transaero, Belavia, Turkish Airlines, Onur Air, UTair Ukraine, Ellinair, SmartLynx.     Information prepared by:
