Flight Frequency Increased by Several Air Carriers in Winter

As the 2012/13 winter flight schedule sets in, five air carriers flying from Riga International Airport have increased the number of their flights to a total of 18 destinations – Amsterdam, Brussels, Moscow, Vienna, London, Munich, Paris etc. New destination will be opened in the winter season – to Manchester, also the route Riga-Bremen will be brought back.

From 7 November, Ryanair will launch flights to Manchester in Great Britain and reopen flights to Bremen in Germany on 8 November.
Comparing with the season of 2011/12, this winter the passengers will have the chance to visit Budapest and Chisinau flying the national airline airBaltic, as well as Copenhagen with the Norwegian.

Wizz Air will also fly more often in the winter season, planning 7 flights per week to London (Luton) and 3 flights per week to Eindhoven.

The national airline airBaltic plans to increase the number of flights per week to several destinations, flying 10 times to Amsterdam, 12 times to Brussels, 19 times to Moscow and 9 times per week to Munich.

It is planned that charter flights from Riga Airport to Innsbruck will be continued by Lauda Air, member of Austrian Airlines Group. AMC Airlines will carry passengers to Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada.
