Iberia Express commences flights from Riga to Madrid

Spain’s new airline Iberia Express on 3 July will commence flights from Riga to the capital of Spain Madrid. There will be two flights a week – on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Special welcome will be given to the passengers of the first flight for whom Riga International Airport, jointly with Live Riga and the State Agency for Development of Tourism (TAVA) have prepared special gifts with Latvian souvenirs.

Luis Gallego, CEO of Iberia Express, points out that " Iberia Express has the best of Iberia and new attributes associated with the ‘express’ concept ".

„Spain is an attractive destination for many Latvian travellers, particularly in the holiday season. Now the passengers will have more options when planning their trips, including the direct flight to Madrid,” said Arnis Luhse, chairman of the board of Riga International Airport.

It should be added that Iberia Express will perform flights on the route Madrid – Riga – Madrid from 3 July to 15 September.

Riga International Airport is the biggest air traffic hub in the Baltic states with 17 airlines offering flights to 79 different destinations.
