22/04/2015

Wizz Air, the largest budget airline in the Central and Eastern Europe, from 22 April is opening flights from Riga International Airport to Stavanger (Norway). Flights on the route Riga-Stavanger-Riga will take place twice a week - on Wednesdays and Sundays – on the aircraft Airbus A320.

The Latvian national carrier airBaltic also operates direct flights to Stavanger.

In honour of the first flight, a special cake was made and decorated with an oil derrick because Stavanger is considered to be the centre of the Norwegian oil industry and is often called “the Oil Capital”.
