Arnis Luhse, Chairman of the Board of SJSC Riga International Airport, and the representatives of the Security Department today, on 30 March, will meet Linda Mūrniece, the Minister for Interior, and the heads of the interior services in order to inform them of the airport’s plans of upgrading its security system.
In the course of the meeting the implementation of the airport's new security system and the liaison in preventing terrorism and crime at the airport are to be discussed. The ministry officials will also be acquainted with the airport’s plans to build a new control centre, a new checkpoint and an access system, a video centre, a dog kennel as well as with advantages to be gained by the security services from the airport modernisation.
