Flights to Rijeka opened from Riga Interantional Airport

Today on June 6 Latvian national airline airBaltic introduced flights from International Riga airport to Croatian city of Rijeka located on shore of the Adriatic Sea.

Special cake with image of the Morčić which is symbol of wealth and welfare in Rijeka was made to celebrate the opening of the first flight.

airBaltic will fly from Riga to Rijeka twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays. airBaltic will offer their passengers to fly with a Boeing 737-300 aircraft and the flight will last for 2 hours and 25 minutes.

This year in summer season six new routes were already opened from Riga airport: Larnaka (airBaltic), Balaton (airBaltic), Olbia (airBaltic), Malta (airBaltic), Rijeka (airBaltic), Bergen (Wizzair).

International Riga Airport is leading airport in Baltic States. In summer season passengers are able to travel from International Airport to 81 destinations which are offered by 19 airlines: airBaltic, Ryanair, Wizz Air, LOT, Lufthansa, Transaero, Turkish Airlines, Uzbekistan Airways, UTair, Norwegian, Aeroflot, Belavia, Finnair, AMC Airlines, Onur Air, Iberia Express, Bulgarian Air Charter, Astra Airlines, SmartLynx.
