Currency exchange and banks

You’ll need to present your Global Blue Tax-Free receipt together with the cash register receipt for your purchase. Take your Global Blue Tax-Free receipt and the goods you’ve purchased to an officer of the Customs Control of the Republic of Latvia before your departure from Riga Airport. The officer will inspect the receipt and the goods and make a note on the purchase receipt.

If you are planning to put your new purchases in your checked baggage, please ask the agent at your check-in desk to process your VAT refund before handing over your baggage.

Before handing over your checked baggage and passing security, please visit the Customs Control in the Departures Hall, located on the right to the entrance.

The customs officers will help you if:

• You are carrying tax-free items in your cabin baggage;
• You are carrying tax-free items in your checked baggage.
