You can get to/from the city center by city shuttle Lux Express Shuttle, bus No. 22, taxi, rental car or car – sharing.

Lux Express Shuttle from/to Riga Airport to the city center takes approximately 25 minutes (duration may change depending on the traffic flow).

The bus from/to Riga Airport to the city center takes about 40 minutes.

Taxis to/from Riga Airport to the center of Riga take an average of 20 minutes.

• The duration of the journey may be affected by the intensity of traffic.

8€ and 6€ (for children until 16 y.o. incl). Tickets for the shuttle can be easily purchased through various channels. You can buy them online at luxexpress.lv. Along with traditional payment methods we accept Google Pay and Apple Pay. In addition, you can by tickets directly from the bus driver, at the Lux Express Sales Office at Riga International Bus Station, or at the airport information desk.

For the convenience of our passengers, only on bus No 22, you can buy a one-way ticket from the driver. Price per ticket – 1,81 EUR.

Tickets can also be purchased from the ticket machine at the bus stop or Narvesen shops in the airport terminal. You’ll find them by the exit from Arrivals Hall E (1st floor) and in the Check-in Hall (2nd floor).

Pre-paid Voucher

For transportation to the center of Riga, you have the option to use pre-paid vouchers with taxi operators licensed to operate at Riga Airport, namely "XTaxi" and "TaxiLV". These vouchers are applicable within a designated area, encompassing most hotels in Riga city center. The voucher is valid for one trip from Riga Airport to the city center without stops, for up to four passengers with luggage at any time of the day. The number of pieces of luggage is transported according to the capacity of the respective vehicle and in accordance with safety requirements.

• The cost of the voucher is 33.50 euros. Vouchers are available for purchase at the airport's Visitor Center in Arrival hall E.

Payment according to the taxi operator's tariff

For taxi rides, you can also pay according to the operator's tariff. The fare consists of three components: boarding fee, distance fee, and time fee.

• Keep in mind that each taxi has its own tariff, and there is no set maximum limit, so we recommend clarifying the fare before agreeing to the ride!

The specific taxi's tariff is displayed on the car door. Additionally, the fare for the trip from the airport should be indicated on the fare meter located in the taxi's passenger compartment on the front panel, passenger side.

Taxi drivers are obligated to provide clear and accurate information regarding:

• the tariffs used for fare calculation;
• additional fees for extra services.

Taxis licensed to operate at Riga Airport guarantee high quality service and a transparent pricing policy. They can be hired only on the carriageway which is located immediately at the exit from the arrivals hall. 

Other taxi carriers also provide services in the Airport area; it is also possible to hire a taxi using one of the mobile apps.
