Passengers and Airport guests may take photographs and film in the Airport’s public outdoor areas and passenger service areas for private purposes - selfies, family photos etc. Photography and filming for private purposes is not allowed at Airport security checkpoints and on the airfield. It is prohibited to capture airport employees in the photos and videos;

Any other commercial or non-commercial filming, photography or conducting a survey at Riga Airport and its territory must be approved in advance!

Filming and photography

Filming and photography is divided into three categories:

  • Media representatives may obtain same-day approval for filming and / or photography by writing to [email protected];

  • Filming and photography for non-commercial purposes must be approved by the Communications Unit at least five business days in advance;

  • Filming and photography for commercial purposes (if the material produced is for profit) must be agreed with the Commercial Department at least 10 business days in advance. Filming and photography for commercial purposes at the airport is a paid service, on which a written contract will be concluded. If the filming or photography is performed by a group of more than three people, a written application is required.

Conducting any type of survey in the territory of the Airport must be coordinated with the Communications Unit at least five business days in advance by filling out the online application form.  By completing the form, you agree to submit the results of the survey to the Communications Unit within 15 business days of completing the survey. If necessary, an alternative date for submitting survey results can be agreed upon separately.


Should any of these activities take place in the territory of the Airport without prior approval, our Security Service will have the right to disrupt such unauthorised activities.
