airBaltic opens flights from Riga to Poprad in Slovakia

The Latvian national carrier airBaltic from 13 December has commenced flights from Riga International Airport to Poprad - the winter sports centre in Slovakia. Flights on the route  Riga – Poprad – Riga will be performed once a week – on Saturdays  - on  Boeing 737-300 aircraft and their duration will be approximately one hour and forty minutes. 

In honour of the first flight a special cake was made featuring a skier and hills – the promise of winter sports activities at the destination.
