Blood Donation Day in “Riga International Airport”

“Blood donation in order to save lives is an unselfish and responsible act to other people and yourself. Each and every may occur in a situation when such help is very important,” says Krišjānis Peters, Chairman of Board of “Riga International Airport”.

“Riga International Airport” has encouraged all employees of the companies, which are located in the airport and its territory, and closest neighborhood to donate blood. Also the guests of airport are welcome to donated blood. The specialists of State Blood Donor Center point out that blood donation do not influence passengers’ feeling during the flight.

After donation the person will receive a material compensation for lunch and other relieves listed in the Labour Law of Latvia.

State Blood Donor Center reminds that eligible age for donating is from 18 to 65 years, donor’s weight must not be less than 50 kg, and smoking and the use of alcohol is prohibited before donating. Please remember to bring some identification with you!
