19/07/2021

Wizz Air, Ungarian low cost airline on Sunday, July 19, opened a new route from Riga to a Mediterranean city Alicante (Spain). Alicante surprises its visitors with its mix of rich Spanish culture, architecture, history, beautiful beaches, and the careless lifestyle of the townspeople. Tickets are available now on wizzair.com or on the WIZZ mobile app, with fares starting from just EUR 34.99*

With its newest services, Wizz Air now offers a total of 13 routes to 10 countries from Riga Airport. The opening of today's new flight is second Wizz Air’s new destination this summer from Riga. Once a week Wizz Air offers a flight to stunning Santorini. Seats on the new routes are already on sale and can be booked on wizzair.com from EUR 34.99*.

Wizz Air has introduced a new era of sanitized travel across its network, with enhanced hygiene measures to ensure the health and safety of passengers and crew.  Click here to view Wizz Air’s new health and safety video.

By adding WIZZ Flex to a booking, passengers can rest assured that if circumstances change, or they simply wish to travel on a different date, or to a different destination, they can rebook on any WIZZ flight of their choice. Providing that extra layer of protection for passenger bookings, is a peace of mind during these uncertain times.

Andras Rado, Communications Manager at Wizz Air said: “The Wizz team is happy to celebrate the opening of another new route from Riga to attractive summer destinations, this time in Spain. With today’s opening we are bringing to Latvian travelers more opportunities to enjoy long-awaited holidays this summer. Thanks to Wizz Air’s enhanced health measures onboard, passengers can enjoy travel while feeling safe and comfortable.”
