Norwegian commences flights from Riga to Copenhagen

Norway’s low-cost carrier Norwegian tomorrow, on 4 May, will open flights from Riga to the capital of Denmark Copenhagen. The flights are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

We remind that this year in April the airline began operations on the route Riga – Stockholm (Arlanda Airport).

„“We’re looking very much forward to introducing Stockholm and Copenhagen to our Latvian passengers. Norwegian has operated the route Riga-Oslo for several years with great success, and we believe that Copenhagen and Stockholm also will be attractive to both old and new customers,” said Lasse Sandaker-Nielsen, Head of Communications of Norwegian.

„By starting flights to the capitals of Sweden and Denmark the airline Norwegian gives passengers additional opportunities to explore the Scandinavian countries,” said Arnis Luhse, Chairman of the Board of Riga International Airport.

It should be added that Norwegian in total operates four routes from Riga to such destinations as Oslo, Trondheim, Stockholm and Copenhagen.

Riga International Airport is the biggest air traffic hub in the Baltic states with 16 airlines offering flights to 78 different destinations.
