Today, Norwegian releases tickets for a new route operating to and from Riga and Alicante. This marks the company’s seventh international route from the Riga base.

“Based on the southern coastline of Spain, Alicante is a very popular destination during the winter season. We are thrilled to now offer this route as a direct flight also from Riga and we are looking forward to welcoming our customers on board,” said Magnus Thome Maursund, Chief commercial officer in Norwegian.

Norwegian’s first route to Riga was back in 2005, and the company has since expanded the route network. With the new route, Norwegian operates direct routes to and from Riga and Oslo, Trondheim, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Tivat, Korfu and Alicante.

The new route between Riga and Alicante is a part of the winter programme and runs from the end of October to the end of April. There will be two flights per week on Wednesday and Saturday.

”Alicante is one of the most popular routes from the Nordic countries in the winter season with plenty of sunshine year-round and sandy beaches in addition to a vibrant city with lively night life, fine dining and great restaurants.  And now, with a four-hour direct flight, also available from Riga” said Magnus Thome Maursund, Chief commercial officer in Norwegian.
