The number of handled passengers per day at Riga International Airport has reached new record – on 17th June, 2011 Riga Airport serviced 20 250 travellers. Which is one quarter more than the same day one year ago, when the Airport welcomed 16 100 passengers.
The most favourite destinations that day were London, Moscow, Frankfurt, Helsinki and Stockholm.
In 2011 Riga International Airport plans to handle more than 4,9 million passengers.
In May 2011 Riga International Airport has handled 478 423 passengers, which is 17% more than the same period last year, when 410 423 travellers were served. The number of handled aircrafts and cargo turnover in May, 2011 has grown accordingly 9% and nearly 12%, compared to the same period last year.
