A Resident of Tukums Has Become the 3 Millionth Passenger of Riga International Airport

27/04/2009

“For the airport and me this event is important, as a new milestone has been reached –in one year 3 million passengers have been served! As the example of the 3 millionth passenger shows, flying has become accessible to the widest range of people. The airport aims at providing and developing such infrastructure for air transportation, so that flights to Europe become everyday events. Even now the statistics shows that the earlier forecasted amount of the airport passengers will be reached, and I am convinced that we are going the right way,” indicates Chairman of the Board of Riga International Airport Krišjānis Peters.

As a gift, Gita Neilande has received a set of suitcases and a LVL 300 Riga International Airport gift token to buy a ticket to any direct destination point from Riga International Airport.

Today Riga International Airport for the first time in its history has welcomed its 3 millionth passenger in one year. It welcomed its 2 millionth passenger in one year on 17 October 2006, whereas the airport passed the one million mark on 13 December 2004.
