Riga Airport is Now Fully Operational

The runway of Riga Airport has been fully restored and the Airport is operating as usual without any capacity restrictions. Flights are operated according to the schedule.

 


Laila Odiņa, Chairperson of the Board of Riga International Airport: “The past days have been difficult for passengers, airlines and Airport staff alike, to whom the Airport Board is grateful for their selfless work, restoring safe operation at the Airport after the heavy snowstorm.”

Due to heavy snowfall, Riga Airport was closed on Friday evening, resuming operations early on Saturday morning. On Saturday morning, the Airport was operating at a limited capacity, and intensive work continued throughout the day to deal with the effects of the natural disaster and to carry the delayed passengers to their destinations in cooperation with airlines.
