After the incident with the airBaltic aircraft, Riga Airport has resumed full operations

After the incident with the airBaltic aircraft on the evening of 8 March, Riga Airport has resumed operations and the Airport's runway after an inspection is now open for aircraft traffic.


The runway was closed for three hours, affecting six inbound flights to alternate airports in Vilnius and Tallinn. In turn, eight departing flights will go to their destinations with a delay or have been rescheduled.

Passengers whose travel plans were affected should contact their airlines.
